The Community Outreach Team recruits participants and coordinates volunteers and mentors for the annual event and monthly events. Activities include holding monthly events, managing volunteer lists, keeping track of Michigan events that overlap with our focus in health, tech, and entrepreneurship, scheduling mentors and volunteers for annual event, and registering participants.
The Communications Team manages social media, website and newsletters to ensure there is relevant and interesting content to our audience. Activities include organizing monthly happy hours, ensuring new blogs are posted and website is current, posting to social media, and sending out monthly newsletters.
The Sponsorship Team helps develop funding strategies and coordinate outreach to sign sponsors for annual events and happy hours. Activities include updating sponsorship tiers, managing outreach to key partners and sponsors, and cultivating new relationships through networking events.
The Operations Team manages logistics of throwing the annual hackathon. Activities include renting a location, hiring caterers, printing handouts, announcing event details over slack, and developing a budget to run the event.
